Add domain to cPanel
- First of all, login to your hosting account and open the dashboard.
- Now, choose which domain you want to use and click on the “Manage” button for DNS connection. It will take you to the domain menu by default.
- You have to connect the DNS server first. So, click on the “Nameservers” option and select “Web hosting DNS”. Now, save it. Within one or two hours, it will be hosted automatically.
- Now, go to the cpanel and login to your cpanel. Go to the “Domain” section and select the “Addon domains” option.
- In the “New domain name” box, paste the website address you want to add or type the website address. “Subdomain” and “Document root” fields will be filled automatically.
- If you want to create an FTP account with this domain, then put a check mark on the “Create an FTP account associated with this Addon Domain” option. Iy you do not want to, ignore this option.
- Then click on the “Add domain” button. Domain will be successfully added. It will show a few messages there. If your domain does not have ssl installed, then buy the ssl and install it. Ssl is used to secure data transfer, transactions, logins, and many more. If you want to install ssl, go to cpanel home again and you will find the “SSL/TLS” option in the “Security” section.
WordPress Installation
- In the cpanel, scroll down and look for the “Softaculous apps installers” section. From that section, Click on the “Wordpress” icon.
- Then click on the “Install now” button. Now an installation form will appear, you have to fill up this form carefully.
- First of all, select the wordpress software version. Select the latest version for your domain.
- Now, you have to choose the installation url. At first, select the protocol, there will be various options. In my case, I have selected the “https://” option.
- Then, choose the domain. In my case, I have chosen the domain “seoservicebangladesh.com” domain.
- Now go to the site settings section. Give your site name in the “Site name” field and write a short site description in the “Site description” field.
- Now, go to the admin account section. Give an admin user name in the “Admin username” field, input a password in the “Admin password” field and input an email address in the “Admin email” field.
- Then, choose language as per your preference.
- Now, go to the select plugin section. You can mark all options from there. In my case, I have only selected the first option.
- You do not need to do anything with the advanced options. So, ignore it.
- Now, select a theme if you want.
- Now, you will see another email field. Type your email address. Remember that this is only for when you already have one domain installed on your hosting.
- After that, click on the “Install” button. After a few minutes it will give you the confirmation. It will also give you the “Administrative url”. So, save it for future work. Click on the administrative url and now you will be able to customize your wordpress website.
- That’s it.
