How to make WordPress child theme and install [ Right way ]

How to make a what praise child theme and how to install it so right now I’m gonna show you the very easy method to create and install a child theme in WordPress.

so first of all opinion WordPress dashboard and hover over on plugins and click on add new so we are going to create child theme using plugin Now search your child theme so this is the plugin we are going to use so click on install now once the plugin installed activate the plugin.

once the plugin activated hover over on tools and here you’ll find this child themes option so click on it select an action here select create a new child theme select a parent theme so right now I’m using the 2023 theme so here’s I selected my theme and now click on analyze and here name the new theme directory so I’m gonna changing the name from here my website Dash child select where to save new style I’m selecting primary style sheet save new custom Styles directly to the child theme primaries primary style sheet replacing the existing values the primaries tells you to load in the order set by the theme

skip these options and here customize the child theme name description author version Etc click on click to edit child theme attributes give her the child theme name

you can add here the child Theme website URL write your author name author website

you can add a theme description here you can add your child theme tags here you can select the version from here to copy manuals widgets and other customizer settings from the parent theme to the child theme check this box and click on create new child theme

and here you can see the child theme has been successfully created now I’m over overing on appearance themes

so as you can see my current theme is 2023 and I’ve successfully created child theme of this theme 2023 my website child this is how we can create child theme and to install the child theme click on activate
