The term band is actually wrong in some variants. Because instead of being in band form, they are offered as so-called tubes (tubes) the basic usability changes little.
Resistance bands often have the advantage that you can immediately attach other equipment such as foot straps or handles to them.

In the resistance bands, however, it looks better. With a tape you can, depending on the use, create different resistances. You can usually take double or quadruple tapes to increase resistance, you can combine different tapes, you can also put tapes under tension in the starting position, and so on. One of the advantages of rubber bands is that they are very cheap. In many cases, it is not worthwhile to buy individual ribbons. The handle to a wide stands band set is almost mandatory. These include latex bands or latex tubes of different strengths, which can be combined as desired, often also include handles, foot straps and a door anchor. Adjust the resistance of the bands
A resistance band set usually brings tube of different strength. Some resistance bands are given the designations “very light, “easy”, “medium”, “heavy” and “very heavy”. An indication of weights on the tubes is strictly nonsensical. Nonsensical, because the rubber bands and rubber tubes strictly speaking are a kind of spring, which obeyed the Hooke’s law.

The marketing department therefore prefers to use an indication in kilograms.
We examined resistance bands from different manufactures and found that the information on the bands is approximately correct if you pull so hard that the length of the tube doubles.
Often the information on the taps in pounds (singular Ib; plural Ibs) is given and you must first in kilograms (kg) convert. With the kilogram-pound calculator you can convert the weight units into each other.
But again the note: the information should be treated with caution, because technically it is a kind of spring.

Quality of the transport bag: you want to say for sure that you do not care, because you do not need the bag? You are certainly right!
However, one can often only look at the bag in the shop, for example. And the result show: if the storage bad is nothing the seams burst there, then usually the rest will not fit.
The tubes themselves should be very flexible and elastic. By no means already brittle or cracked. Also a white coating should not be present, this could on superposition (the tubes are already old and may have been in the sun) indicate.
The seams on the tubes, the accessories and the door anchor should be sturdy and flawless. Double stitching and dense fabric are a sign of high quality.
The handles should be big enough so the diameter should be padded with sponge rubber. So you can grab safely even with wet hands.
The snap hooks must be sufficiently dimension. However, we always recommend the purchase of larger carabineers. Not necessarily for safety reasons, but to make the handling of the tubes more user-friendly.
Are foot straps here and these are paddle. The foot straps can also be “misused” as a handle. A good pad prevents a loop form rubbing quickly and causing a painful experience.
The door anchor must be designed so that the security is still guaranteed even with a small gap or a game of the door leaf. The test winner is already great, but we would have liked better if the door anchor was held in red. We recommend binding a red band around the anchor or attaching a shield to the door.
